Gonda: In a major administrative outreach initiative, Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal will conduct a comprehensive “Sandhya Samvad Programme” in Shravasti on May 8, 2026. The day-long programme aims to address public grievances, review development works, and ensure on-the-spot delivery of government scheme benefits.
According to the official schedule, the programme will begin with a public hearing from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, where citizens will be able to present their complaints and seek redressal. This will be followed by a session from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm dedicated to resolving departmental and pension-related issues of employees and pensioners, with a special focus on senior citizens.
In the afternoon, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the Commissioner will inspect ongoing and completed development projects across the district. The inspection will include on-site verification of construction quality and progress. Officials from concerned departments have been directed to remain present at project sites with all relevant records during the inspection.

The programme will culminate with the “Sandhya Samvad” interaction session from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in a selected ग्राम पंचायत, where direct dialogue with rural residents will be held. A special camp will also be organized at the venue to ensure saturation of eligible beneficiaries under various government schemes. Certificates and benefits will be distributed on the spot in the presence of public representatives to ensure transparency.
The initiative is being seen as a significant step toward strengthening grassroots governance, enhancing accountability, and ensuring that welfare schemes effectively reach the last mile.
